The Indianapolis, Indiana VA Medical Center is actively seeking US or Non- US citizen BC/BE Glaucoma trained Ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive clinical and surgical ophthalmological care to our Veteran patients. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic services in inpatient and outpatient settings, order diagnostic studies and procedures, and perform surgical and non-surgical general ophthalmology procedures.
Individuals will be considered for a faculty appointment at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSOM) and be involved with the education and teaching of Ophthalmology fellows, medical residents, medical students, and occasionally other providers in the eye clinic, short procedure room, laser room, and the operating room.
The Indiana VA Healthcare system - a Joint Commission accredited, referral level 1a/high complexity facility serving more than 62,000 Veterans in the rapidly expanding metropolitan Indianapolis area. The Opthalmology department is state of the art, competently staffed with friendly and collegial members. Ophthalmologists provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and pre-operative patient and Operating Room evaluations.
