SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee is seeking General Surgeon
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee is seeking a General Surgeon to join an experienced group of physicians and support staff. The ideal candidate will be interested in a "bread and butter" surgery panel, as well as endoscopy (no robotics).
Opportunity Details Include:
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee is a state of the art facility providing a wide range of services to Shawnee and the surrounding areas since 1964. The only hospital in Shawnee, it includes more than 75 physicians on its medical staff and 600 health care professionals working at two campuses. Licensed for 102 beds, it typically operates about 80 beds, and most rooms are now private rooms.
In 2016, Shawnee opened a new 115,000 square foot, three story addition to the hospital, which represents a significant expansion of the facility. The most recent addition houses an inpatient surgery department, an intensive care unit, and beautiful Women's Center. The building is connected by an enclosed hallway to the Group Clinic Building.
Shawnee, Oklahoma, is a city of approximately 30,000 residents. It is the county seat of Pottawatomie County, which has a population of approximately 70,000 residents. Shawnee is located 39 miles east of Oklahoma City, about a 40 minute drive. The community is rich in culture with a historic downtown, Native American heritage, multiple museums and a university.
