Saint Joseph s Health is Seeking Pulmonary-Critical Care Physician in Northern New Jersey

Saint Joseph s Health has an excellent opportunity to join our full time team of 12 hospital employed Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Attending Physicians in the growing Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Practice in a collegial academic environment that stresses patient centered quality care. Lead and be supported by an interdisciplinary team including residents and fellows. Enjoy teaching opportunities and participation in numerous educational activities. Nine Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellows receive their training at St. Josephs. Clinical activities include attending in one of three Medical Intensive Care Units and Critical Care Consult Service. Opportunities to participate in Pulmonary Consultation and Out-Patient Pulmonary Clinic will be available. A Sleep Center with a growing sleep program is present. Those interested in a nocturnist position are welcome to apply. Opportunities to participate in numerous committees and projects exist. Medical School appointment is available.

Requirements: Candidates must have MD or DO and an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey. Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine or Critical Care Medicine Board certification or eligibility at the time of hire is required.

St. Joseph Health has a 150-year history of providing outstanding care. Numerous facilities are located throughout Northern New Jersey. A multitude of residencies and fellowships are present. A 650 bed tertiary referral center is located in Paterson NJ. The Paterson Campus is a state designated trauma center, advanced stroke center with cardiothoracic surgery and interventional cardiology programs. The Intensive Care Units are located in a modern state of the art Critical Care Tower. A simulation center is found on the main campus. A 229 bed community hospital with a 16 bed MSICU is located approximately 5 miles from the main campus. St Joseph s is five-time recipient of the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence. The MICU is recipient of the Beacon Award for Excellence in Critical Care Nursing.

The hospital is located approximately 12 miles from New York City. Northern New Jersey offers a large range of residence options from urban to rural. Innumerable cultural activities are found in New Jersey and near-by New York City. Outdoor recreational activities, including mountains and ocean beaches are within an easy drive. Outstanding public and private schools abound. Exceptional colleges and universities are found.
