Adventist Health and Rideout is seeking a General and/or Sports trained Orthopedic surgeon to join our thriving group practice in Yuba City, CA.

Incoming physician must have experience in Sports Medicine as well as bread and butter general orthopedic cases.

At Adventist Health and Rideout Orthopedics, our board-certified doctors and specialists use both surgical and non-surgical procedures to treat these problems and more. The clinic offers general orthopedics, sports medicine, elective joint replacement (such as knee, hip and shoulder) and joint preservation and arthroscopic surgery.

Clinic is fully functional with support staff, casting room and x-ray. Lab is down the street and MRI is in the main hospital.

Wage Scale: $558,678-$780,249/year

Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible, be California licensed or eligible and meet the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards.

Marysville and Yuba City lie in Northern California’s Sacramento Valley within the Greater Sacramento area, approximately 125 miles northeast of San Francisco and 125 miles west of Reno, Nevada. Nearly 11 million people live within a two-hour drive of the Yuba-Sutter area.

The Yuba-Sutter area offers many recreational opportunities, such as fishing, boating, hunting, water skiing, hiking and camping. Residents enjoy warm, dry summers and moderately cold winters.

Marysville, Yuba City and its neighboring towns offer unique shops, antiques, dining for all tastes, lovely parks and friendly people. Families with children can find local sports teams such as little league, football, soccer, gymnastics, dance and swimming. There are also adult city league sports teams available in both counties, including the Marysville Gold Sox, a collegiate wood bat baseball team that plays in Marysville, California at Colusa Casino Stadium during the summer and are a part of the Great West League.

Nature lovers will enjoy the Sutter Buttes (tours), Beckworth Riverfront Park and other local parks, such as the Gauche Aquatic Park which offers swimming pools, picnic and play areas and walking paths.

Performing arts fans will enjoy The Acting Company – a 74-seat theater, featuring talented regional actors who have garnered many prestigious Sacramento Region Elly Awards. Performances, musical events, poetry readings and multi-cultural celebrations are offered at Yuba Sutter Arts; Fine art galleries are located in both Yuba City and Marysville; Award-winning dance studios offer ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz and modern dance to local youth and adults.

Yuba City hosts the Summer Stroll and Christmas Stroll, Punjabi American Festival, 4th of July Parade and the Sikh Parade. Marysville hosts the Peach Festival and Christmas Parade, as well as the Bok Kai Festival which is the longest continuously running festival in California. There are Christmas parades in nearby Olivehurst and Liveoak. In Wheatland, the Toyota Amphitheater – an outdoor theater, located near Plumas Lake and Wheatland California with the capacity of 18,500 is used for concerts, stage shows and other special events.

Portions of the Plumas and Tahoe National forests sit in Yuba County, providing numerous campgrounds and day-use facilities. Hikers enjoy the Sutter Buttes, the world’s smallest mountain range, rising 2,130 feet above sea level in a ten-mile circle in Sutter County

The rivers, lakes, mountains, year-round festivals and fairs, golf courses, community theater, fine dining establishments, bikeways, historic downtown shopping and Yuba-Sutter’s own professional-grade Gold Sox and Yuba City Bears baseball teams make the region a wonderful place to live or visit.
