The Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and Seton Ascension is seeking an exceptional board certified or board eligible gastroenterologist at the Assistant or Associated Professor rank to join the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Ascension Seton is the leading provider of healthcare services in Central Texas, serving an 11-county population of 2 million. The organization operates 5 major medical centers, 2 community hospitals, 3 rural hospitals, a mental health hospital, several rehab/medical centers for well patients, and 3 primary care clinics for the uninsured.

JOB SUMMARY
The faculty will primarily be responsible for the growth of a General Gastroenterology practice at Ascension Seton, Central Austin, for state of the art, value-driven healthcare delivery congruent with the goals of Dell Medical School. This position will comprise of inpatient gastroenterology consult service (approximately 1 week per month), outpatient clinics, and endoscopy. There are no scheduled outpatient clinics during inpatient weeks. Advance endoscopy training is preferred but not necessary.
The hospital and clinics are located in Central Austin, which is one of the fastest growing and vibrant cities in the country, Austin is home of legendary live music, an eclectic restaurant scene and a unique culture! Austin and the Texas Hill Country are amazing places to live, work and recreate. More than 300 days of clear skies every year.
