The Department of Dermatology at the Spencer Fox Eccles University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking an academic Mohs surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Appointment track will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The qualified candidate must be board-certified in dermatology and have successfully completed a fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. You will be joining a top dermatology department in the West and a team of Mohs surgeons that provide Mohs and general dermatology services at five of our twelve clinical locations.
Clinical:
The candidate must have the ability to practice dermatology with an advanced level of medical knowledge, with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and provide exceptional care for people with skin cancer. Clinical duties will include seeing patients for Mohs and for general dermatology. There are also opportunities to see patients for cosmetic and laser services. Ideally, candidate will have familiarity and training in performing Mohs for melanoma with immunostaining. Candidate will be expected to be involved in the Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program.
Education:
The candidate will be expected to participate in teaching/supervising residents, medical students, and Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) fellows in clinical and didactic settings.
Academic Activities:
The candidate will be expected to be involved in scholarly activities, research, and service responsibilities based upon their expertise, academic interests, and experience.
Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- MD/DO degree
- Board certification in Dermatology
- Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Utah
- ACGME fellowship-trained in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology
- Board-eligible/board-certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
