Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Internship

ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY 

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 

The Rutgers School of Dental Medicine - University Hospital has a One-Year  Internship available in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery  beginning July 1, 2023. The program is designed to allow recent dental  graduates or those completing a general practice residency a chance to gain  greater experience in Dentoalveolar Surgery and other hospital surgical  activities. This is an excellent opportunity for those individuals who wish to  apply for a residency position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery the following  year. 

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Intern will participate in all aspects of the  service including: 

• Dentoalveolar Surgery 
• Ambulatory Anesthesia 
• Trauma 
• Orthognathic and Reconstructive Surgery 

The Oral and Maxillofacial Intern will function at the PGY-1 level with on-call  activities and opportunities for operating room cases. Oral and Maxillofacial  Interns also participate in the didactic program that serves the residents in  Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. 

The salary is $61,749 (PGY-1) plus health and malpractice insurance, 4  weeks of paid vacation and free meals while on-call.
