Baptist Health Medical Center- North Little Rock (BHMC- NLR) is seeking a Geriatrician to join the Baptist Health-UAMS Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residencies, part of the Baptist Health-University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (BH-UAMS) educational consortium teaching programs. This is a full-time academic geriatrician clinician and faculty teacher position. The Geriatrics program portion of the Internal Medicine residency program has developed rapidly growing outpatient, memory center, Long-term Care and House Calls programs. Only 10 minutes from the heart of the Little Rock business district and University medical school, this position involves providing clinical care to a medically complex, vulnerable aging patient population and the teaching of residents on the beautiful community-based, tertiary-care BHMC-NLR campus. The clinical/teaching venues of this position are housed in a new on-campus Baptist Health Graduate Medical Education/clinical specialties building and off-campus in two nearby Long-term care facilities. Our innovative, team-based, collaborative, and accomplished faculty are excited about refining and further developing our geriatrics' service lines of clinical care with a teaching mission. Opportunities available for physician candidates also include leadership positions, e.g., facility medical director and participation in scholarship, e.g., research, QI with Lean Six Sigma certification, and didactic teaching. Protected time is allotted to achieve these goals.
