The Division of Nephrology at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Academic Nephrologist. The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension currently has six Adult Nephrology faculty at Albany Medical College and four Adult Nephrology faculty at the VA and closely collaborate with two pediatric nephrologists, three transplant surgeons and two renal pathologists. The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension has very active inpatient consult (teaching) services, renal transplant services, outpatient hemodialysis patient care, hypertension referral clinic, and a vibrant chronic kidney disease outpatient program.
In joining our academic faculty, the successful candidate will enjoy ample opportunities to teach medical students, PA students, Pharmacy students and residents, IM residents and nephrology fellows. Research and other scholarly work is encouraged and supported commensurate with the skills and accomplishments of the clinician scientist.
The Division of Nephrology has a fully accredited nephrology fellowship program. The successful applicant will bring a track record of unique subspecialty clinical expertise and demonstrable excellence in medical education. Experience in clinical research is highly desirable. It is anticipated that the candidate will be Assistant Professor or Associate Professor-level eligible.
Salary is competitive and academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
