Neurosurgery Functional Division Chief

Albany Medical Center, located in Albany NY, is seeking a BE/BC fellowship-trained functional neurosurgeon to join a cohesive group of 10 well-established, hospital-employed neurosurgeons. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking to join a robust functional neurosurgery practice. The referral base is supported by a busy pain and movement disorder practice within the institution and a well-established network of outside referrals. Clinical support within the functional division includes a dedicated midlevel provider, RN, and administrative support. There is a CAST accredited 1-year fellowship/1 fellow per year which is approved through 2024 with the SNS. We have an ACGME Neurosurgery residency program with a compliment of 2-residents/year. In addition to the clinical component, there is ample opportunity for research in our well-developed translational research lab.

• OR’s with state-of-the-art equipment including intraoperative CT and multiple navigation systems
