The Department of Surgery at Albany Medical College is seeking a physician trained in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Surgery, or Subspecialty with interest in pursuing a career in Clinical Nutrition, providing nutritional care to surgical and medical patients with complex nutritional disorders including short bowel syndrome, enteric fistulas, inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, malabsorption, and bariatric surgery patients. The position would see patients in an outpatient setting with option for time dedicated to inpatient service with limited telephone-only second call, and will be eligible for academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level commensurate with experience.
Albany Medical Center has historically been a leader in Clinical Nutrition, and a regional provider of Nutrition Care for eastern Upstate New York. Experience in Clinical Nutrition is not required, as training will be provided working alongside a specialty trained physician in Clinical Nutrition.
