Job Description

Wake Forest Health Network Family Medicine - North Elm located in Greensboro, N.C., seeks a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join their new practice of 2 physicians and 4 advanced practice professionals opening November 2023! This will be a team-oriented practice with supportive colleagues and well trained clinical and clerical staff that will go the extra mile for their patients. The practice will offer a great opportunity for a Family Medicine physician who is desiring a comprehensive outpatient practice including a diverse patient population.

Family Medicine - North Elm services will include:

Specialization in the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and high cholesterolDiagnosis and treatment of acute illnessesMinor surgeries (repair of lacerations, removal of moles and cysts, etc.)Treatment of minor injuriesPhysical examinations and immunizationsGynecological careGeriatric medicineCardiac screeningsSpecialist and community resource referrals

Job Summary

The physician is a patient-centered, system-oriented teammate who manages the care of all patients within their primary practice/clinical setting. The physician leads an interdisciplinary team to perform assigned clinical duties, while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Atrium Health, supporting our mission, vision and values.

SCHEDULE:

100% Outpatient only.Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday, 8:00am-12:00pm.Full-time providers work 36 patient-facing hours, 4 administrative hours.Telephone only call rotating between providers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Medical Doctor (M.D.) / Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.Board Certified / Board Eligible in Family Medicine. Successful record of clinical and service excellence, North Carolina medical license or eligible.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

Current M.D. or D.O. license from the State of North Carolina.Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency.Certification in BCLS, ACLS required if stress tests performed or as required by specialty.Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of writing required.

Typical clinical setting.
