In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals, PAGNY (Physician Affiliate Group of New York) is one of the largest multi-disciplinary groups in the country whose main purpose is to nurture and embolden the healthcare providers who take care of the most fragile and vulnerable patients in New York City. PAGNY people do more than diagnose and treat; we uplift the spirits and dignity of patients because we love what we do, and it shows. PAGNY is committed to recruiting and retaining productive and enthusiastic physicians and promotes our health professionals' wellness.

PAGNY is currently seeking a full-time leader, educator and clinician to serve as Chairperson of the Department of Radiology at South Brooklyn Health (formerly Coney Island Hospital), a 371 bed Academic Community Hospital affiliated with SUNY Downstate in Southern Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

This is a terrific opportunity to lead a strong clinical department and develop a state-of-the-art imaging center as construction is completed on a new 11 story tower building. Part of a major $922 million hospital campus expansion, which will replace the current tower. In addition to the new hospital building, a 350K square foot critical services tower is also expected to open in 2022. In addition to elevated ER, OR and imaging suites, the new building will include 80 acute care beds; a new L&D suite, surgical suite with 8 brand new ORs, surgical prep and recovery areas, including a 12-bed PACU. Full radiology suite including CT, MRI & Interventional Radiology. Endoscopy suite, 64-beds in Behavioral Health and a clinical laboratory.

Our successful candidate will assist in the creation and implementation of a strategic vision for the department, be part of the transformation, and ensure the provision of exceptional care to South Brooklyn residents as part of the patient care team at South Brooklyn Health.
