Marshall Medical Center (MMC) is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join our integrated team of healthcare providers. Candidates for the position will be talented individuals with complementary skills, be an active member of the existing orthopedic team and show ambition to lift Marshall to new heights as the preferred Orthopedic provider in our region. MMC Orthopedic clinics are located in Placerville and El Dorado Hills, California, about an hours’ drive from South Lake Tahoe and downtown Sacramento. Clinic support staff includes Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, Referral Coordinator, and other office staff. MMC has committed to supporting the Orthopedic team by investing in facilities and the mission of the departments services. In particular, to address the exciting opportunities presented by rapid growth in the population East of Sacramento.

Our Orthopedic providers are interconnected and practice on a community-based model with access to other specialists. The hired physician will have the ability to work four 8 hour days per week and have an opportunity to perform procedures at the main hospital and two outpatient ASCs. Block time for procedures are provided at all desired locations. Fellowship training in any specialty is welcomed, but not required. Marshall is a level three trauma center, with nearby level two and one regional trauma centers. MMC has well established tertiary care relations for support services, as needed.

The selected Physician is primarily responsible for providing quality care to assigned patients of MMC. MMC serves a diverse patient population with a large referral base under a stable practice model. Call requirement is 1:5. Hospitalists and Nocturnists are on staff for 24/7 inpatient coverage. Additional participation includes quality assurance activities and staff meetings.

MMC is located in historic Northern California, close to the heart of the Gold Rush. The countryside is stunning. World class skiing is 70 minutes away. Requirements

• BC/BE
• Active BLS and ACLS certification
• DEA certificate
• Experience preferred but not required
