Hematopathologist- Staten Island University Hospital
The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Staten Island University Hospital seeks a hematopathologist for our Hematopathology service. The service covers two campuses, the North and the Prince s Bay, an active fine needle aspirate interpretation hematopathology service, a large out-patient oncology bone marrow service, with Directorship of hematology and/or coagulation laboratories in the respective hospitals. The service also includes a flow cytometry laboratory. Responsibilities for the candidate may include many/all of the services mentioned above.
Eligible candidates must be board certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology, should have strong diagnostic skills, teaching interest and experience, preferably with more than 3 years of post-fellowship experience. Strong candidates without experience will be considered as well. A strong academic background with demonstrated academic accomplishments is also desirable.
Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching hospital that spans two campuses and provides a vast array of services in health and wellness. Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
