The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa, a Big Ten University with longstanding academic excellence, seeks a pediatric hematology/oncology bone marrow transplant physician. About Stead Family Children's Hospital
Open in 2017, the Stead Family Children's Hospital is a 507,000-square-foot, 190-bed, 14-floor world-class pediatric hospital connected to the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. The children's hospital and John Pappajohn Pavilion (JPP) are connected on seven levels, a design element that makes for safe and convenient travel between the two buildings. Many Department of Pediatrics faculty are leaders in their fields and members of prestigious national and international organizations, including the Society for Pediatric Research, the American Pediatric Society, the American Board of Pediatrics, and the Institute of Medicine. The department currently includes more than 200 faculty, 46 residents, two chief residents, and 32 specialty trainees.
