Inpatient Nephrologist

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Nephrology is seeking a Board certified/eligible Inpatient Nephrologist to join our dynamic and highly collaborative group of Nephrologists.

This 100% Nephrology practice offers the opportunity to practice Academic Nephrology caring for a wide variety of patients. The successful candidate will have a clinical faculty appointment.

The Inpatient Nephrologist will be on inpatient service every other week, working 7 days on, 7 days off. Alternative schedules may be available.

Our successful candidate will have the opportunity to get training in Therapeutic Apheresis modalities and participate in care for patients in need of Apheresis. There will also be opportunity to participate in scholarly activities including teaching medical students, residents, nephrology fellows and conduct clinical research.

The inpatient service is consultative-only, supported by a fellow and resident team. Loma Linda University Medical Center recently transitions into a newly built state of the art hospital in the fall of 2021.

This is a unique opportunity for a clinician educator to work extensively with diligent and talented nephrology fellows. The division hosts several educational conferences each week and many faculty members are engaged in academic activities and would welcome collaboration/mentorship. For a qualified and interested candidate there may be an opportunity for a role on the leadership team after the first year.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $220,000 - $280,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
