Orlando Health seeks a distinguished and visionary neurosurgery executive with a reputation for exceptional leadership in neurosciences to serve as the President, Orlando Health Neurosciences Institute (OHNI) for the Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG). This position presents a unique and outstanding opportunity to shape a long-term vision and establish the Institute as a destination for neurosciences care, both within the state and for the region.
Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Orlando Health is an $8.1 billion not-for-profit health system that comprises 3,200-beds across 18 soon-to-be 23 wholly owned hospitals. OHMG was established in 2011 as a distinct legal entity of Orlando Health. Since its early development, OHMG has had dramatic growth over the last 12 years to 1,600 providers and 4,200 non-clinical FTEs. With over $500M in net revenue, OHMG has 200 practices geographically located in eight counties.
As a regional destination program in neurosciences care, OHNI features a comprehensive array of clinical services with neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology, interventional pain management and rehabilitation care functioning together as one. OHNI boasts the only Joint Commission-certified Designated Spine Center of Excellence and Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center in Central Florida. The Institute is also invested in the research and teaching missions, with an established neurology residency program, a future neurosurgery residency and numerous ongoing clinical trials and research studies.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Orlando Health and President, OHMG, Dr. Sunil Desai, the OHNI President stands at the forefront of providing exceptional neurosciences care to the community and region. By advancing its clinical programs and maintaining national standards of excellence, the President will elevate the comprehensive neurosciences program to new heights. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional surgical skills, a proven track record of establishing innovative clinical program and be a recognized leader in the field of neurosurgery. The successful candidate will have the ability to articulate a compelling vision and inspire, mentor and manage a team of medical professionals to achieve excellence. A medical doctorate degree and board certification in neurosurgery are required qualifications.
