Mayo Clinic is seeking a transformational leader to advance the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at its Destination Medical Center (DMC) in Phoenix & Scottsdale, Arizona.   The foundation of Mayo Clinic began with a vision of distinction and passion for innovative thinking and excellence cementing Mayo's legacy. Mayo Arizona is commited to education with the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine on site and competitive residency and fellowship programs. The Mayo Clinic Arizona Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is ranked among the top 15 best specialty practices for pulmonary and sleep care by the U.S. News and World Report with excellent scores in outcomes and experience. The Division provides personalized care for patients with respiratory conditions encompassing common to complex disease including a fully integrated interventional procedural suite and a sleep lab both located at the hospital campus.  Our team consists of 19 physicians, and 7 Advanced Practice Providers along with fellows in our Pulmonary & Critical Care and Sleep Medicine fellowship programs. The Division has nationally renowned researchers engaged in basic and clinical/translational research funded by the NIH and other sources. The Division is at the forefront of innovation in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Mayo Clinic's strong influence in pulmonary and sleep medicine innovation and research extends back decades. Futher, Mayo Clinic Arizona performs more solid organ transplants than any other center in the country with lung transplant being planned for by 2024

The Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division Chair will collaborate closely with the Department of Medicine Chair (Pankaj Pasricha, MBBS, MD) and the CEO of Mayo Clinic Arizona (Richard Gray, MD), their Administrative Partners, and other Division leaders to achieve Mayo Clinic’s overall mission and strategic goals. Candidates for the Division Chair must have a demonstrable track record of innovation in research and/or clinical practice systems with a commensurate track record of funding. The Department of Medicine is the largest Department at Mayo Clinic, Arizona and is committed to robust growth in research, discovery, and innovation.  It is expected that the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division Chair will be an effective partner in that growth providing strategic direction across the three Mayo shields: clinical practice, research and education. The ability to mentor a group of diverse faculty covering all levels of experience is key.

  Board certified in pulmonary medicine.
