Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital is seeking a board-certified mid-career or senior urologic oncologist to join our team in the Department of Urology, on the Upper East Side Campus in Manhattan, New York, to lead our Kidney Cancer Program.  The candidate should have research expertise and a federally funded research program in kidney cancer. We are seeking a collaborative team member passionate to advance urological care for our patients as Director of the Kidney Cancer Program within the department.

The WCM Peter M. Sacerdote Urology Research Laboratory is a robust laboratory space, spanning 5,300 square feet (SF), with state-of-the art equipment located next to our clinical space and administrative offices, allowing for easy interaction between our faculty and researchers in other departments within the institution. In addition to the main laboratory consisting of 33 lab benches of 14 linear feet each, several adjoining rooms include: a dedicated tissue culture room of 440 SF consisting of five double stacked incubators, five biological hoods, microscopes, water baths, centrifuges, a small cryostorage tank, a sink with double polished water; a microscope room; four equipment rooms containing numerous refrigerators/freezers (liquid N2, -80 and -20) all of which are centrally alarmed, cryostats, chemical hoods, radiation safety hood, an Allerga 25R and a Sorvall Super T21 centrifuges, Savont DNA 120 speedvac; a glass washing room with autoclave; a storage and supplies room; and a walk-in cold room.

The candidate will be a full member of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center (MCC) and work collaboratively with other members of the center. As a matrixed cancer center, the MCC converges the talent of basic, translational, clinical, and population-based cancer investigators across Weill Cornell Medicine. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across the current cancer care network which encompasses a patient population with significant ethnic diversity and health disparities and with other GU oncologists within WCM, WCM-NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and WCM-NYP Queens. The candidate will participate in the education of medical students, residents, and the department’s Society of Urologic Oncology fellows. WCM maintains major affiliations with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, The Rockefeller University, and the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Salary Range:

• Assistant Professor: $374,687-428,583 Associate Professor: $430,947- 501,570

The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.
