Dr. ** Arenia C. Mallory Community Health Center** is recruiting an OBGYN physician to join their team due to an increased need in the surrounding area. The OBGYN team currently provides services to some of the most underserved communities in the nation. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing quality care and reaching those with limited access. As an FQHC, this physician-led organization has been providing care for close to 30 years. With a deep history embedded in the staff and the patients they serve; Mallory Community Health Center has continued to grow and innovate new ways to reach those in need.

Experience/Education Requirements:


  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Must have successfully completed a post-graduate internship or residency in the specified area.

AND Licensure:

  • Incumbent must be licensed to practice medicine by the State Medical Licensure Board.
  • Must be Board Certified or eligible for certification in OBGYN.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide OBGYN medical care by caring for patients in accordance with the physician's medical specialty.

· Develop a plan of care for patients including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and/or referral including hospitalization where necessary.

· Stresses the importance of preventive health care measures.

· Uses all available resources in diagnosis and treatment, such as laboratory, and radiological testing in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.

· Confers with consulting physicians, nurses, patients, and patient's families concerning treatment and care of patients.

· Refers those difficult cases which require specialist services but maintain responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided.

· Participates in the development and implementation of regularly updated quality assurance plans for the consortium.

· Participate in the health promotion/disease prevention activities required by the U.S. Public Health Services.

· Attend all medical staff meetings and participate in the Community Health Center's Quality Assurance Program.

· Performs other necessary duties as required by the Community Health Center to meet the goals of providing OBGYN health care.
