FULL TIME OB/GYN HOSPITALIST OPPORTUNITIES

IN PORTLAND, OREGON

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology - Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) seeks full-time and part-time qualified Hospitalists specializing in General obstetrics and gynecology to join their full scope practice in the Portland, Oregon metro area. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. These positions are desired to start as soon as possible.

Oregon Health & Sciences University is the only academic medical center in the state of Oregon and is house in the metro Portland area. Catchment area includes a number of surrounding areas and serves a population of approximately 2 million people.

These positions will hold the academic rank of Assistant Professor, and are expected to provide an outstanding level of clinical performance on the inpatient labor and postpartum floor. These positions will work closely with MFM and OBGYN Generalist providers, and OBGYN residents. Additionally, these positions will provide services to the Emergency Department in all matters related to obstetrics and gynecologic services. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Participation in the management of the antepartum, labor and postpartum floors for both low and high risk patients in an environment with a level 3 and 4 NICU; 2 practice sites include the main academic center and a community partner, Hillsboro Medical Center
  • Evaluation and treatment of ED patients who present with women’s health concerns including both medical and surgical management; practice sites include the main academic center and a community partner , Hillsboro Medical Center

The position requires a medical degree (MD or DO), Oregon licensure, and completion of an Obstetrics & Gynecology residency. This position requires the surgical experience necessary to perform a broad range of surgeries independently and with resident partners including emergent laparoscopic surgery. Applicants must have the potential for academic accomplishment, be board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be willing to work at both the main academic center and the community partner site.
