NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Hospital, formerly Coney Island Hospital, accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Our Department is currently comprised of 15 staff Anesthesiologists and practices an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating perioperative process, in close friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. Our department is armed with all required modern equipment for the safest practice of Anesthesia, including Video-Laryngoscopy, 2 SonoSite Ultrasound Machines for Vascular Cannulation and Regional Anesthesia, 2 Ambu FOB Systems with disposal scopes used in Thoracic Anesthesia and Difficult Airway management, FloTrack System for intraoperative hemodynamic management, AccuView finding system, etc. The Department of Anesthesiology is a great group of purpose-driven collaborators and friends, supporting each other and contributing to making South Brooklyn Hospital a premier surgical center in Brooklyn. 

We are looking for a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with strong work ethics, team spirit and dynamic personality to serve as Associate Chairperson in the dept with both clinical and administrative duties. Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus. New Graduates are welcome, with mandatory Board Certification within 5 years.

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• New York State License
