The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at BronxCare Health System is pleased to announce an opening in their Spine Section. We are looking for a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar surgical skills. You will be joining a growing spine team that has one board-certified cervical spine surgeon (at 50% employment) and a board-certified non-operative orthopaedic spine specialist. This means that there will be ample referrals to jump-start a healthy practice and care for a vibrant and diverse community. The starting pay is a base of $400,000/year with 35% productivity based on collections starting on the first dollar collected. Once fully active, quarterly productivity bonuses have ranged from $35,000 to $60,000. Opportunities exist to increase productivity bonuses through the insurance mix.
You will be joining a full-time, hospital-employed practice that values high-quality surgical care as well as surgeon health and well-being. The average work week is about 40 hours. On-call is one week every 7-8 weeks. All malpractice, and generous human resources package included.
BronxCare Health System delivers exceptional care to the over 1.4 million people in the South Bronx. The system completes over 1 million clinic visits per year and the orthopaedic department completes 50,000 clinic visits a year.
