Stony Brook University School of Medicine of the State University of New York invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the division of Hematology/Oncology.

The division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine and the Stony Brook University Cancer Center in Stony Brook, NY, is seeking a physician leader to oversee benign hematology, hematologic malignancies and transplantation research and clinical research program. Expertise in malignant hematology or bone marrow transplantation is required. The level of appointment will be dependent on credentials and experience.

RESPONSIBLITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: The Associate Professor/Professor of Medicine will participate in a clinical faculty practice and will also pursue clinical research in malignant hematology or cellular therapies and participate in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MD or equivalent, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. Experience in both malignant hematology, cellular therapies, or autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interest in pursuing research in lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma, or bone marrow transplantation with experience in teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Experience in initiating and leading clinical trials including investigator-initiated studies. Laboratory research support is available.

Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
