The Emory University School of Medicine and the Division of Rheumatology of Emory in Atlanta, Georgia are recruiting experienced Rheumatologists to provide direct patient care, and participate in clinical research at the campus of Emory Decatur Hospital. The Department of Medicine has a growing faculty, with practices at multiple locations in metro Atlanta. Emory seeks candidates having a M.D. or equivalent degree who are board certified and eligible for licensure in GA and who will collaborate successfully with colleagues and other specialists to build the Emory program at Decatur while providing the high-quality care for which our Division and Emory Healthcare are known.
Clinical responsibilities (full-time) include outpatient consultation and treatment, long-term management, inpatient consultation at multiple locations, rotating inpatient attending service and call coverage responsibility, and multi-disciplinary collaboration with other Emory specialists. Other duties could include fellowship education, clinical research, and community service. Competitive candidates will have a strong clinical background, and experience in education.
Rheumatology is an autonomous Division in the Emory School of Medicine, and physicians are members of The Emory Clinic, Inc and/of Emory Specialty Associates. Programs and services are located at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Decatur Hospital, the Atlanta Veterans’ Administration Medical Center, and the Grady Health System.
