Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

Description

Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is offering a full-time faculty position for a diagnostic neuroradiologist with subspecialty training in head and neck imaging.  Clinical expertise in the high-level practice of diagnostic neuroradiology is essential. The ideal candidate will have a track record for academic productivity, a desire for professional advancement, and an interest or prior experience in head and neck imaging.

The Division of Neuroradiology is currently staffed by 19 faculty who provide subspecialized diagnostic inpatient and outpatient clinical service across Emory Healthcare sites, Grady Memorial Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. This includes a subspecialty head and neck group with a dedicated reading room co-localized within the ENT clinic. A strong working relationship exists between our department and our ENT colleagues that spans clinical and research interests. This includes daily multi-disciplinary cancer conferences that are attended by radiologists, ENT surgeons, and oncologists. In addition to providing advanced neuroradiology clinical services for a broad-spectrum of disorders, responsibilities include the training of fellows, residents, and medical students as well as participation in additional interdisciplinary conferences.

State-of-the-art clinical equipment are present across the enterprise. Extensive research facilities including dedicated research imaging facilities are available. In addition, there are strong intra- and interdepartmental clinical and research collaborations already in place. An exceptional neuroradiology fellowship offers nine one-year positions per year and there are more than 60 radiology residents. The department has a strong commitment to faculty development and academic advancement. Atlanta is a highly desirable, growing metropolitan area with many attractions and a favorable climate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible, subspecialty certified or eligible, completed a Neuroradiology fellowship at an accredited program, and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
