Breast and Gynecologic Pathologist

Sanford Clinic has an opening for a Breast and Gynecologic Pathologist to provide medical care to patients of Fargo, ND and the surrounding area. 

POSITION TITLE:  Breast and Gynecologic Pathologist

POSITION DUTIES: Diagnose presence and stage of diseases using laboratory techniques and patient specimens. Study the nature, cause and development of diseases. More specific duties include: diagnose presence and stage of diseases by examining gross and microscopic tissue samples to identify diseases or other abnormalities; identify the etiology, pathogenesis, morphological change, and clinical significance of diseases; write diagnostic pathology reports summarizing analyses, results, and conclusions; communicate pathologic findings to surgeons and other physicians; and function as an expert in the histologic evaluation and diagnosis of benign and malignant diseases of the GYN tract and breast.

EDUCATION:  Medical degree or equivalent foreign degree as determined by a written evaluation

TRAINING:   48-month Pathology Residency and 12 month Breast and Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship. Number of months of training required is dependent upon the number of months necessary to complete medical training leading to completion of a Residency in Pathology and a Fellowship in Breast and Gynecologic Pathology.

LICENSE:   North Dakota state medical license or ability to obtain. BC/BE
