hasnew opportunity available for a BC/BE Psychiatrist
to join our cohesive behavioral health team by providing outpatient adult
servicesat The Hospital of Central Connecticut (THOCC) and MidState Medical Center (MMC).
The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center are general acute care community hospital located in New Britain and Meriden Connecticut.Highlights about this opportunity:
Behavioral Health at THOCC & MMC:
- Complete psychiatric evaluation of adult patients
- Order and interpret appropriate lab tests, imaging studies.
- Attend continuing medical conferences and patient review sessions.
- Provide backup coverage for ED and inpatient unit when necessary.
- Provide backup coverage of IOP/PHP programs in outpatient setting.
- No required overnight calls.
- If participating in weekend coverage, additional compensation will be provided.

Our Cedar St. location averages 40,000 visits per year, with abundance of patient care options including Partial Hospital Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, Substance Treatment Intensive Outpatient Program, as well as Spanish Speaking Intensive Outpatient Program. The clinic also provides medication management, individual therapy, and group therapy appointments. About the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network:
The Hartford HealthCare BHN is an expansive psychiatric treatment, research, and academic network that includes the world-renowned Institute of Living and the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center. An experienced GME organization, the BHN currently hosts two psychiatry residency programs and three psychiatry fellowship programs.
