Sentara Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Specialists is seeking a fellowship trained Sleep Medicine or BE/BC PCCM Physician to join our well-established referral-based Outpatient Practice in Hampton, Virginia. We serve an extensive region and provide the most comprehensive services and compassionate state of the art care. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be dedicated to delivering high quality patient care.
This position has the opportunity to be 100% Sleep based or a mix of Sleep and PCCM
- The PCCM component will be based out of Sentara Careplex Hospital, a level 2 trauma hospital located in Hampton, Virginia.
Both dedicated IP and OP time
Flexible scheduling between ICU shifts and office
Dedicated APP support
Optional procedures available (Nav Bronchs/EBUS), but not necessary
Outpatient clinic located on the hospital campus
Established referral base
- The Sleep Medicine component consists of dealing with a well-established referral base and existing patient panel with efficient workflow utilizing an in-house sleep lab. Key responsibilities are PSG, Titration and HST interpretation.
Sleep outpatient only practice (Monday-Friday Schedule)

No weekend or holiday call for Sleep
No rounding in the hospital
Accredited sleep laboratories
Evaluate and treat adult patients with sleep disorders
Interpretation of diagnostic/therapeutic in-lab polysomnographic and home sleep studies
Treat sleep problems including insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, snoring, restless leg syndrome, REM sleep disorder as well as other conditions
Work in collaboration with other physicians, advanced practice providers and other medical staff to provide comprehensive sleep health services

Candidates must be Board Certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine
Current, unrestricted Virginia State license or eligible for Virginia licensure. North Carolina licensure is a plus.
Obtain DEA for full prescriptive ability
AHA BLS required
