The Cincinnati, OH Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a Cardiac Electrophysiologist. We provide the following services:

  • Consultative cardiology (outpatient and inpatient)
  • Echocardiography
  • Stress Testing
  • Ambulatory cardiac monitoring
  • Comprehensive Cardiac Electrophysiology services
  • Heart failure Clinic including CardioMEMS® device
  • Diagnostic cardiac catheterization
  • Percutaneous coronary interventions
  • CIED Clinic managing approximately 2,000 devices
  • Advanced Cardiac Imaging Service (cardiac CT and MRI)

We are an active teaching hospital, affiliated with the University of Cincinnati and you will supervise and teach a team consisting of fellows (including Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellow), residents and medical students.

You will provide consultative services and develop treatment plans for the management of Veterans with cardiac arrhythmias and all types of cardiac implantable electronic devices in our outpatient and inpatient settings. You will provide evaluations and treatment recommendations regarding patients with cardiac arrhythmias, along with recommendations regarding internal medicine conditions that impact on the cardiovascular system. Treatment strategies include onsite performance of device placement and ablation therapy. 

Duties will include:

  • Consultative Cardiology for arrhythmia and device management
  • Interpretation of ECGs and ambulatory cardiac monitors
  • Management of our CIED Clinic which now manages more than 2,000 devices or various types
  • Device implantation including permanent pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders
  • Arrhythmia ablation


General Cardiology on-call responsibilities anticipated to be on an as needed basis.

BC in Cardiovascular Disease required; BC/BE in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
