Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (a founding member of Beth Israel Lahey Health) is offering a position for a neuro-ophthalmologist to join our Division of Ophthalmology.  We are seeking a board certified or eligible neuro-ophthalmologist to provide outstanding clinical care in the outpatient and inpatient hospital setting.  The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with the neurology and neurosurgical teams and take part in resident teaching and collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects.  Research interests are welcomed and supported, though not a requirement for this position.

Lahey is a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of more than 600 doctors. Our two hospitals (Burlington and Peabody) and multiple satellite clinics are located in the northern and western suburbs of Boston.  The area provides excellent school systems, abundant cultural activities, and convenient access to the mountains and seacoast.

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is a 317-bed tertiary care facility with outpatient clinics and Level I trauma center located in Burlington, MA.   Lahey Hospital and Medical Center has a fully integrated EPIC EHR platform. The Ophthalmology division has four modern and fully equipped offices (Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, Lynnfield, MA) and a state-of-the-art surgical facility in the Peabody location.  Lahey ophthalmology offers the latest in diagnostic and treatment equipment including 3D surgical viewing systems, OCT angiography, wide field imaging and angiography, updated visual field machines and a full electrophysiology suite.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists. As a teaching hospital, our MDs qualify for academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine. We are also an integral teaching partner of the ophthalmology residency program of Tufts Medical Center. Our division also has longstanding teaching and service relationships with ophthalmology programs in Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador.
