Due to our continued growth, Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist are seeking a national leader as our new Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology. 

We are seeking candidates with proven experience in leadership, research and clinical practice in the Diagnostic Imaging Section of Pediatrics. Available roles may include Vice Chair of Innovation, Vice Chair of Data Science & Informatics, Vice Chair of Quality and Safety, and Vice Chair of Research. We are offering a financial start up package including funds for the academic program of interest for the successful candidate.

This is a unique opportunity to co-lead a thriving academic and clinical department and build on prior success, leveraging the talents of a diverse group of faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and students as the medical school and health system enter into a period of unprecedented growth.  

Wake Forest Department of Radiology consists of state of the art imaging facilities at three adult hospitals, a NCI designated Cancer Center, a Pediatric Hospital, a busy free standing imaging center and several smaller outpatient facilities.  The department consists of 50 faculty, 14 fellows and 40 residents and is well known for its strong educational programs. There are 4 abdominal imaging fellows in the ACGME approved Abdominal Imaging Fellowship.

Position Requirements

Qualified Candidates must be Board Certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent, and licensed (or eligible) to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
