Associate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (Beginning with 3 days a week) Leading to Full-time, Long-term Partnership

Opportunity: Chilliwack Oral Surgery is a full scope private practice with a strong referral base. It was established in 2013, and we remain a busy and growing single-practitioner office seeking an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon or new graduate interested in an associate opportunity leading to a long-term, full-time partnership.

  • We offer a broad spectrum of patient treatment including orthognathics, implants, pathology, and treatments under I.V. sedation and/or General Anesthesia for the more anxious

  • We have modern, state of the art facilities with intentions to expand to a larger location
  • Demonstrated production potential of up to 2 million per annum based on a historical, four-days per week patient contact schedule

Location: The practice is located on the West coast of British Columbia in the City of Chilliwack. The city is nestled in the beautiful Fraser Valley, approximately 100 kilometers East of Vancouver and 30 minutes from the U.S. border.  Chilliwack enjoys a mild year-round climate, and it remains an attractive and growing community offering affordable housing and countless recreational activities and opportunities. For anyone interested in post-secondary education, the community is home to the University of the Fraser Valley which offers a broad range of programs. For the outdoor enthusiast, Chilliwack presents an abundance of local walking and hiking trails of all levels, from a gentle walk around one of the region’s local lakes, to a more breathtaking hike up the slopes of Mount Cheam, Elk, or Lady Peak. World class destinations like Squamish, Whistler, and Mount Baker are all within an hour and half drive. Summertime activities in the region often include a short trip to Cultus Lake, a local hotspot for fun in the sun be it on one of many golf courses, one of the numerous beaches, camping facilities, or a day out water skiing. In addition, global holiday destination Harrison Hot Springs, only a 30-minute drive away, offers additional water-based activities for the whole family, as well as resort accommodations, fine dining options, and further backcountry access. For the more city orientated, a short trip to Vancouver offers all the features of a large urban center from mega-shopping malls and the arts, to an additional one-hour ferry excursion to British Columbia’s famous Sunshine Coast and its capital city, Victoria.

Compensation: We offer a competitive percentage of collections compensation package with the potential of a greater than $250K annual earnings for the incoming associate, working 3 days/week.

Who Should Apply: We are looking for a surgeon with strong ethics and the ability to identify and relieve patient fears and concerns. We are looking for a surgeon that continuously seeks to deliver the best in patient care and team leadership. The right candidate:

  • Must have completed or is in their final year of a Canadian or US oral & maxillofacial surgery residency program accredited by CDAC.
  • Must have passed or is eligible to write the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) National Dental Specialty Examination (NDSE) for oral & maxillofacial surgery.
  • Must have passed or is eligible to complete the Royal College of Dentists of Canada oral & maxillofacial surgery examination.
  • Must be or is eligible to be registered with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) as a Certified Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
