The section of Infectious Diseases at Carilion Clinic is recruiting a board certified/board eligible infectious disease physician. The successful candidate will join a vibrant section providing comprehensive inpatient consultative services for a level 1 trauma center, medical and surgical intensive care units, oncology, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, neurosurgery and spine service lines.
The infectious diseases section is the largest provider of HIV care in our region through our Ryan-White funded clinic. Other outpatient clinical activities include hepatitis C care, outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT) and travel and tropical medicine.
The section also has an academic mission with our fellowship program and our support of medical student and graduate medical education. Faculty members hold academic positions at the Virginia-Tech Carilion School of Medicine and may participate in clinical research, quality improvement and learner mentoring activities.
