The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking outstanding candidates for Site Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West.

The Site Chief will support the administrative, clinical, educational, quality and research missions of the Division, helping to develop and implement strategic goals in alignment with those of the system-wide ID Division and the MSMW Department of Medicine.

The Division has undergone tremendous growth in the past 5 years, recruiting numerous outstanding faculty and broadly expanding the scope of its activities in the clinical, educational and research realms.  Examples of this include being a national leader, under the direction and guidance of the System Chief, in COVID-19 therapeutic trials.  As well, the Division has championed broad expansion of Outpatient Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) for the Mount Sinai patient community and has maintained its excellence as an Infectious Diseases Fellowship training site.  Other aspects of the clinical mission include the recent opening of a beautiful multi-specialty faculty practice providing general Infectious Diseases consultations, Travel Medicine, and sexual health preventative services.  The Division also encompasses two robust hospital ID consult services, Infection Prevention and Antibiotic Stewardship.  With its broad mission and recent growth, the Division is now poised to reach even greater heights in its commitment to providing outstanding care, supporting discovery in clinical trials and developing the next generations of outstanding Infectious Diseases physicians.
Mount Sinai Morningside and West have storied traditions of excellence in providing healthcare highly responsive to the needs of the local populations while also training superb academic physicians.  Among many awards, Mount Sinai Morningside was recently named a leading “Best Smart Hospital” by Newsweek while the Mount Sinai Health System was honored by the American Hospital Association for its efforts to advance diversity, inclusion and equity in patient care.

Faculty appointment for the Site Chief from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will be awarded, commensurate with experience and clinical, research and leadership achievement at the Associate Professor or Professor Rank.
