This position requires clinical participation at the World Trade Center Health Program's clinical sites In Commack and Mineola. Approximately 80% of the work effort will be devoted to patient care and administrative duties. 20% will be devoted to clinical education. Administrative duties include general oversight of various aspects of the World Trade Center Health Program. Clinical activities currently emphasize aero-digestive diseases and psychological and social problems that occurred as a result of exposure to asbestos and silica exposure related diseases are also of concern. Participation in clinical programs involving both the identification and treatment of WTC responder related problems is necessary.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

MD or equivalent. Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine or Occupational Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications

Occupational medicine OR pulmonary medicine background. Experience following patient populations, including patients with PTSD/depression, cancer, lung disease and sleep apnea, 9/11 responders or first responder population. Experience working with government funded programs.
