OBGYN Laborist

Well-established and well-respected private OB/GYN group is looking to add additional physicians due to growth and impending retirements. The group has 11 OBGYN physicians, 5 OBGYN Laborists, 6 CNMs, and 3 WHNPs. and is hoping to add 2 new physicians between now and the summer of 2023.

They would like to add 1 Laborist ASAP if possible, to do 2 24 hr shifts weekly and 1 OBGYN Generalist to start January 2023 or later. This group is located in an affluent suburb of Atlanta with excellent public and private schools, recreational and cultural activities, fine dining, shopping, and easy access to Atlanta.

They have been serving the community for over 30 years and they are committed to providing quality patient care. They have 3 beautiful office locations that feature state-of-the-art equipment and EMR practice management systems to allow the physicians to concentrate on patient care and satisfaction.

The OBGYN Laborist will work with 5 other Laborists and cover the group's patients. This position involves 2 24hr shifts weekly and they would be covering 1 of their 2 hospitals They may be open to 12hr shifts depending but would need to coordinate with the other Hospitalist in the group. They offer a very competitive salary, health, dental, life and disability, CME, Malpractice coverage, relocation, retirement, dues/subscription/cellphone coverage, 4 weeks PTO, and 1 week CME with stipend.

Responsibilities include

• Evaluation of all of the Corporation s patients who present at both hospitals
• Management of patients in labor and related labor support
• Postpartum rounds
• Hospital consults on OB and GYN patients
• Vaginal deliveries, VBAC deliveries, and C-section deliveries
• Limited clinics at the Corporation s offices to see antepartum and postpartum patients
• Participation in obstetrical quality initiatives
• Family support for patients in labor
• Postpartum sterilizations, IUDs, circumcisions, etc.
• Medical record documentation and related administrative and billing documentation

This pro-life practice offers a full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, including birth control, minimally invasive surgeries, and in-office procedures like Robotics, Colposcopy, HTA, Pelvic Floor Therapy, MonaLisa Touch, and Uro-dynamics. The physicians cover calls at 2 large community-based hospitals separately, both equipped with NICU and Da Vinci Robot, and the CNMs take calls at 1 of the 2 hospitals. The physician will cover both hospitals but only 1 while on call and manage deliveries for the group only. They average 150-160 deliveries a month between both hospitals and share call of 1:5.
