OB/GYN Opportunity on the Coast of Maine

Northern Light Maine Coast Women’s Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Experienced OB/Gyn Physician in Ellsworth Maine. Join a team of caring professionals providing comprehensive care for total health and well-being. Together physicians and certified nurse midwifes are pleased to offer care to the women of our community.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Must be able to work independently 5 years in practice preferred, but may consider out of residency 30 minute response time when on call.  Providers do not need to stay at the hospital. Call is covering any emergencies for both Blue Hill and Maine Coast but surgeries are only at Maine Coast. Scheduled OR time is 2 days a month. Opportunity for more when the practice grows No robotics Hysterectomies are done with another provider. All other minor surgeries are with the OR staff. C/S are with a CNM. Nursery is “rooming in” Now have epidurals, nitrous oxide and labor anesthesia Level 1 nursery – 36 weeks and above – all high risk go to EMMC Very comfortable with CNM – primarily CNM practice Call of minimum of 8 shifts per month with additional pay for extra shifts 

• Support our thriving CNM practice. Very comfortable working with CNM 10 hour shift(s) 4 days a week 8 – 24 hour calls shifts per month
