University of Kentucky seeks an Instructor, Department of Radiation Medicine, Clinical Title Series in Lexington, KY to provide clinical radiation therapy physics services for IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, brachytherapy; perform didactic lectures in a classroom setting; perform weekly chart checks and treatment plan verification and treatment oversight; physics services related to Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery; facilitate precise and accurate delivery of radiation treatment plans and the safety of patients and treatment staff; participate in the commissioning and development of new technologies; Radiation Safety Functions in conjunction with the Radiation Safety Office; participate in the academic mission of the department by mentoring the Medical Physics Graduate students in certain practica, and provide instruction of the didactic coursework; help mentor the medical physics residents and participate in the Department's research activities.  This position requires a Masters in Medical Physics or related field, board eligible/board certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics, completion of residency in Medical Physics.   Any candidate offered a position may be required to pass pre-employment screenings as mandated by University of Kentucky Human Resources. These screenings may include a national background check and/or drug screen.  Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment.
