Primary Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and related services for individuals seeking a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder
• Provide education to parents, community, and professionals about autism spectrum disorders
• Collaborate with lead psychologists on diagnostic evaluations
• Order genetics and other labs associated with the broad spectrum of developmental questions associated with autism spectrum disorder
• Provide appropriate referrals for ancillary healthcare services including referrals to speech and OT/PT, psychiatry

Required Qualifications

• Medical doctorate in general medicine, pediatrics, or psychiatry; pediatric or psychiatry specialty a plus
• Licensed in the state of Missouri to practice or eligible to be licensed; the ability to provide medications management services for individuals with autism and comorbid behavioral health disorders a plus
• One year of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder/developmental disabilities; 5+ years of experience a plus
• Experience providing services to individuals with a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds
• Experience working on a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to establish collaborative partnerships within the University and among regional service providers including Department of Mental Health and targeted case management agencies
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
