The Department of Anesthesiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital/UMKC SOM seeks a BE/BC Cardiac and Critical Care Anesthesiologist at the Instructor/Assistant Professor level to join our Cardiac Anesthesiology section at Saint Luke's Physician Group.  We are looking for cardiac anesthesiologist and intensivist that can rotate through CVOR and CVICU. Split negotiable.  Exclusive CVOR work which includes heart transplants, placement of mechanical circulatory support including LVADs, aortic reconstruction, TAVR, structural heart, CABG, valves, esophageal surgery, complex thoracic and major vascular cases.  Saint Luke's Hospital CVICU consists of a 21 bed closed ICU which encompasses cardiothoracic surgery patients, transplant, major vascular, high volume ECMO and other mechanical circulatory support.  The intensivist is supported by a multi-disciplinary team which includes 24- hour APP support.  Candidate must be TEE board eligible or board certified.  

Saint Luke's Hospital Cardiology and Heart Surgery, part of the renowned Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI), was ranked in the top 25 in 2020 by USNWR, performing over 1600 cardiothoracic, vascular and hybrid procedures yearly. Faculty exclusively concentrate their clinical efforts in the CVOR arena in MAHI, part of a freestanding clinical center within Saint Luke's Hospital.
