The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado is seeking a full-time Dermatologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. This provider will see patients in our robust clinical practice. Working with outstanding physician/educators and physician/scientists, and mid-level providers, our patients are seen primarily at the University of Colorado Hospital clinic, Denver Health and Hospitals, and at the Denver VA clinic.
Duties in this faculty position will include teaching, research, and service responsibilities.
In addition, specific responsibilities will be as follows:
- This position is 80% clinical (6-7 weekly clinics) and 20% academic activities (teaching, research, and service). Clinical duties will be performed on the main campus in UCH Dermatology clinics, treating a mixture of new and return patients. Physician is expected to be involved in academic activities.
- Teaching responsibilities include supervision of rotating medical students, residents, and fellows in clinic, mentorship, and educating residents and fellows through teaching in journal club, basic science lectures, didactic lectures, and grand rounds.
- Provide oversight to the Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs) in the Department of Dermatology. This will include providing clinical expertise and evaluation of charts.
- Physician will be expected to develop an academic focus or area of expertise relevant to Dermatology and be involved in scholarly activities
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:
Assistant Professor – $240,000 - $250,000
Associate Professor – $245,000 - $275,000
Professor – $250,000 - $290,000
Support: The salary is determined in part by any funded research support, Departmental commitment and projected clinical collections.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
