St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) has an excellent full time employment opportunity for
an Internal Medicine Faculty physician located in Pontiac, Michigan.
SJMO is recruiting a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Faculty physician
to join six core Internal Medicine faculty members. The selected candidate will provide
faculty development and professional growth within a fully accredited Internal Medicine
Residency program. The call rotation for this opportunity is currently 1:7, by phone only.
The selected candidate will interact with approximately fifty Internal Medicine Residents.
Faculty responsibilities for this opportunity include inpatient rounding, clinic supervision as
well as teaching and supervising residents. Additional responsibilities include assisting the
Program Director in recruitment, counseling and evaluation of residents; teaching at
Morning Report and Noon Conference; and maintenance of records related to program
accreditation. Participation in academic societies and clinical research is also required.
