We are seeking an enthusiastic Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician who shares our vision of providing high-quality patient care and excellent fellow and resident education in a supportive environment.
Passionate about the far reaching and multi-disciplinary impact of Infectious Diseases inpatient care. Someone who brings creativity, positivity, and a sense of purpose to their daily work.
Diversity in pathology and complexity of care in infectious disease makes NGHS an ideal place to practice as well as ID to residents and fellows across multiple disciplines in our GME programs which include General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine. Emergency Medicine, and Psychiatry residency programs which will make NGHS the one of the largest GME programs in the State of Georgia.
Program Overview
- Accredited for 2 Fellows per year
- 4 employed faculty members already in place
- Level II Trauma Center
- Integrated Epic Healthcare System
- Hospital staffed 24/7 with Hospitalists and Intensivists
- Robust GME Program: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Cardiology Fellowship, Palliative Care Fellowship
Associate Program Director Responsibilities will include:
- Administering and maintaining an educational environment conducive to educating the fellows in each of the ACGME competency areas
- Overseeing and ensuring the quality of didactic and clinical education in all sites
- Familiarity with and comply with ACGME training and reporting requirements
- Participate in academic societies and in educational programs designed to enhance educational and administrative skills

Position Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified Infectious Disease
- Ability to obtain an active medical license in the State of Georgia
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an active faculty member in an ACGME accredited internal medicine or Infectious Disease Fellowship
