ACADEMIC POSITION
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO
Assistant – Associate Professor Level

The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for an orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training training in Spine Surgery. This full-time appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience, and the selected candidate will be appointed to the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence faculty series.

The incumbent will participate in clinical care activities at our Marin Health outpatient and surgical facilities. The clinical practice will focus on community-based spine care, with tertiary and quaternary cases referred to the UCSF Parnassus campus. The incumbent will be responsible for teaching to residents as well as medical students and will be core faculty for the Spine fellowship. The incumbent will be expected to collaborate in clinical and/or basic research as well as publish subsequent results in peer reviewed journals.

Requirements:
Applicant must have all requirements met by time of hire:
· A valid California medical license will be required as a condition of employment.
· MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
· Completed an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency program
· Completed an accredited Spine Fellowship Program
· Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
· Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission
