The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for a Division Director of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. This will be a clinical-track, full-time faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, and will be tenure track, tenured, or fixed-term, dependent on the candidate’s qualifications. We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual who has a national reputation, experience working in and leading change, with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. The successful applicant will have a track record of outstanding administrative and leadership skills and will be dedicated to the tripartite mission of excellence in clinical care, education, and research. 

Administrative and leadership responsibilities will include leading the Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, which is comprised of faculty members, advanced practice providers (APPs), ACGME fellows, and administrative staff. The Division Director’s role includes oversight and strategic planning for the clinical enterprise and how best to enhance the research and educational mission of the Division. In addition, the Division Director will oversee professional development of the team members and be responsible for the Division budget. This role will also entail clinical responsibilities including the outpatient and surgical care of complex patients with pelvic floor disorders. Ideal candidates will also have experience with minimally invasive prolapse procedures, a research/scholarly/academic area of focus, dedication to teaching, and prior leadership experience, which could include serving as a fellowship director; medical director; administrative hospital position; or leadership roles in a national organization.

An MD degree with completion of a 4-year ACGME residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and an ACGME approved 3-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery are required. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery are required. Excellent qualifications and letters of recommendation are required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
