RemoteMD Texas PLLC Sugarland Clinic is looking for a reliable Physician to provide emergent and non-emergent healthcare services to the residents of Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to provide health and occupational medicine services to the community.

The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, diagnoses and treats work-related illnesses injuries of employees, and conducts fitness-for-duty physical examinations and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting.

The Physician will work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care and occupational medicine services.

OccMed/Urgent Care/ER experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • General medicine
  • Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options
  • Perform Functional Testing (FCE) Testing and Procedures
  • Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients
  • Evaluate toxicology, X-ray and laboratory interpretations
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws
  • Record complete, timely and legible medical records
  • Oversees maintenance of case histories, health examination reports and other medical records.
  • Formulates administers health programs.
  • Perform minor surgical/wound repair care
  • Assess and treat minor orthopedic injuries
  • Ensure reduction of dislocations

Skills

  • Current MD Licensure in Texas.
  • Federal DEA License
  • Board Certification in required specialty is highly preferred.
  • A Copy of valid and current BLS and ACLS card (American Heart Association)(front & back)
  • ATLS Certification
  • Strong knowledge in Medical Case Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and provide a compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (eClinicalWorks, MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
