Our team of 70+ Physicians and 30+ NP/PAs currently staff one Level I, three Level II or III Community Hospital Emergency Departments and two busy freestanding EDs affiliated with the University of Colorado Health System - North Region. These six locations offer diverse acuity levels and volumes allowing for varying experience opportunities.

JOB IDENTIFICATION:
TITLE: Emergency Physician
REPORTS TO: EPR, Board of Directors
EVALUATED BY: Medical Directors, Professional Practice Committee, CEO
PURPOSE:
To provide outstanding emergency medical care while employed by the Emergency Physicians of the Rockies. The physician will carry out the Mission of EPR to bring a new level of excellence to Emergency Medicine.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Maintain positive relationships and communicate effectively with patients, staff, administration and EPR staff and peers.
- Adhere to hospital and EPR policies.
- Work when scheduled and to arrive on time for shifts.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient care provided.
- Complete documentation and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Practice efficiently.
- Strive to meet or exceed quality and performance benchmarks (PPH, LOS, resource utilization, etc.)
- Minimize complaints from patients, staff, and consultant colleagues.
- Dedicated to achieve and maintain a high level of clinical knowledge and skill.
- Be receptive to feedback and adapt appropriately if performance or behavioral issues arise.
- Participate and contribute to the success of the Emergency Department team and EPR.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- Member of Hospital Medical Staff and in good standing.
