The Division of Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Diseases is actively recruiting qualified applicants for the position of senior transplant surgeon to join a busy abdominal transplant program. Lahey performs a high volume of deceased and living donor liver and kidney transplants each year. This division also includes a busy hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery service. Experience in robotic surgery is desired.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is an academic affiliate of Tufts Medical School which allows for opportunities for residents and fellow education and clinical research.
The Lahey integrated delivery system consists of over 1200 clinicians providing care throughout Beth Israel Lahey Health s network of acute, ambulatory center physician practice sites, behavioral health, long-term care facilities, home health organizations and care management programs.
Qualified Candidates should have the following:
The candidate should have completed training in general surgery and an ASTS-approved transplant fellowship
Candidates must have experience in liver, kidney transplantation, as well as multi-organ donor procurements
Experience in living-donor liver transplantation is important as this individual will play a key role in expanding this service
Candidates must have a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and scholarly activities
The successful candidate for this position may be considered for Tufts Medical School appointment as an Assistant, Associate Professor, or full professor commensurate with experience and achievements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Surgery
Eligible for a full medical license to practice in Massachusetts
